NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware baseball team split a doubleheader against Coastal Athletic Association foe Towson on Saturday at Bob Hannah Stadium on Saturday.

In game one, Towson defeated Delaware 9-5. In the second game, the Blue Hens won 4-2.

GAME TWO

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Evan Lewis started the game for Delaware. He pitched in 2.1 innings, allowing no runs off one hit. In relief was Jonah Richardson, Elias Conway, and Andrew Callaway.
Conway was credited with the win and is 1-0 on the season. He pitched two innings, allowed no runs and no hits and struck out three batters. Callaway picked up his first save after pitching the last two innings, also giving up no hits and runs.
Matthew Minckler was lone Blue Hen with multiple hits, going 2-for-3. Aaron Graeber went 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs and Tanner Donati went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Donati got the Blue Hens on the board with a single, driving in Brett Lesher.
The Tigers took the lead, scoring a run in the top of the fourth and top of the fifth.
In the sixth, Delaware tied the game when Evan Bouldin reached base on an error and scored Minckler.
In the seventh, Graeber drove in the go-ahead runs off a single to make it 4-2.

UP NEXT

The Blue Hens travel to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia and will play in the Liberty Bell Classic Championship game against Rider on Tuesday, April 8 at 4 p.m.
