Khokhlova Claims Medalist Honors at Terrapin Invitational; Women’s Golf Places Fifth

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Alisa Khokhlova won her second tournament of the season, and third of career, leading the University of Delaware women's golf team to a fifth-place finish at the Terrapin Invitational, hosted by Maryland. Playing in a tough 14-team field that featured five Power Four programs, the Blue Hens turned in a tournament team score of 26-over par 890. Play was held at the par-72, 6,244-yard University of Maryland Golf Course.

The Blue Hens will travel to the 2025 CAA Championship next weekend as the squad looks to defend its title from a season ago. The three-day championship will be played April 11-13 at The Clubs at St. James in Southport, North Carolina.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Playing in tough, wet conditions, Delaware totaled 36 birdies over the three rounds. UD's score of 890 was the team's third-lowest 54-hole score of the season.
- Khokhlova carded a bogey-free, 2-under par 70 to share the individual lead after 18 holes on Sunday. She then jumped from fourth back into first with a 1-under par 71 on Monday to claim her third-career victory. The senior had eight birdies, including four on Monday, and an eagle over the 54 holes.
- Henkel was tied with Khokhlova after the first round with a 2-under par. She finished with six total birdies for the tournament.
- Playing as an individual, Sawant had three birdies during Sunday's second round to card a 1-under par 71.
