Elliott and Stenner Named Summit League Performers of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Delaware men's soccer program swept the first Kwik Star #SummitMSOC Peak Performers of the week awards. Forward Marius Stenner was named Offensive Performer of the Week and Goalkeeper JoJo Elliott Jr. earned Defensive Performer of the Week.
Stenner and Elliott become the first Delaware athletes to be named Kwik Star #SummitMSOC Peak Performers of the Week since UD's transition into the conference on July 1.
Stenner finished the first week of play with a total of six points on three goals in the Blue Hens' 2-0 week. He scored the game-winning goals in both wins for the Hens. Stenner currently leads the Summit Leage in game-winning goals (2), in goals (3), points (6), and shots (10). He is also tied for most game-winning goals in the NCAA thus far.
Elliott had two shutouts in his first two career starts. He tallied two saves against Le Moyne and five over Temple. The last time a freshman goalkeeper recorded a shutout for Delaware was in 2015 by Todd Morton against James Madison. Elliott is tied for the lead in goals against average (0.000) in the NCAA and is one of two freshman goalkeepers in the country that recorded two shutouts this week.
