Jeffreys and Elliott Sweep Summit League Weekly Awards

SIOUX, S.D. – The University of Delaware men's soccer's Freddy Jeffreys and JoJo Elliot Jr. swept the Summit League weekly awards, the league announced Tuesday. Elliott earns the Kwik Star #SummitMSOC Peak Defensive Performer of the Week for the third time this season and Jeffreys receives the offensive honors.
The Fighting' Blue Hens take both weekly awards after a 2-0 week with wins over Penn and Howard.
Jeffreys recorded two game-winning goals for a total of four points on the week. These were his first and second career goals.
Elliott now has five clean sheets in his first six career starts with five saves on the week. He is first in the Summit League in goals against average (.167), shutouts per game (.833), saves (24), and save percentage (.960). Elliott is also the only rookie goalkeeper in the NCAA with five shutouts.
