Fernandez Earns Second CUSA Player of the Week Honors

DALLAS – The Delaware men's basketball senior Justyn Fernandez earns his second Conference USA Player of the Week honors after leading the Fightin' Blue Hens to a 2-0 week in conference play.
Fernandez averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds, .554 field goal percentage, and 39 minutes last week. In Delaware's road win against FIU, Fernandez scored 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting (.563) from the field. He also grabbed a career-high 9 rebounds and played 38 minutes at FIU.
Then against Missouri State, Fernandez led the Hens with 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting (.545) from the field, including 2-of-3 from three and a career-high 9-of-9 from the line. His 20-plus-point outings this week were his third and fourth-consecutive games with at least 20 points.
In conference play, Fernandez currently leads CUSA in free throw percentage (.953) and is second in minutes per game (36:46).
