Yawo Baah joined the Delaware coaching squad for the 2022 season.
In his third year with the program, Baah continues to be a key figure in the Blue Hen regiment. His personal sessions with each of his players during practices and engagement during pregame drills has established a strong bond between him and his athletes. He is able to recognize and respect the strengths and weaknesses of each player and allow them the correct learning curve to grow as an athlete. Baah was able to use that skill to attack opponents weaknesses when scouting to allow a Blue Hen advantage. The culture and energy Baah brings to the team each day has been a huge success factor in the McMenemy era.
He heavily contributed to the team’s jump from two wins to nine in his second year as assistant coach. He helped rally the troops throughout the season, taking on various roles to help the players and program excel. Baah took a lead role in the area of technical activation, in which he designed precise exercises with the ball to enhance technique and overall performance. During individual development, he specifically worked with the midfielders to improve technique, fundamentals, and other aspects of the position. Off the field, Baah was essential in the opposition scouting process, making sure the team was prepared for each opponent prior to the match.Â
Baah previously spent four years as an assistant coach at Albright College with the men's and women's programs. He helped coach the women's team to a 13-8-1 overall record and the program's first ever MAC Commonwealth playoff win during the 2019 season, while the team also made its fourth straight ECAC Tournament appearance. Baah also assisted head coach Pat Stanco in coaching two All-Conference players that year.

The team finished third in the MAC Commonwealth, qualifying for the conference tournament for a fifth straight year.  Additionally, Baah assisted Stanco in coaching four All-Conference players.
A graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, Baah was a member of the men’s soccer team which won the Colonial Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament all four years he attended.
