Delaware Caps Fall Schedule at Head of the Occoquan Regatta

UD had six crews competing in two races in the competition. In Delaware's first race of the competition, the Varsity Eights final, the Blue Hens “A” crew led by coxswain Molly Gardner finished in sixth place with a time of 18:01.91. The Delaware “C” crew led by coxswain Hayley Diverio was the next UD boat to finish. The “C” team finished in 24thplace with a time of 19:17.10.
The Delaware “B” crew was the next team to finish as the boat led by coxswain Jamie Noce crossed the finish line just 10 seconds behind the UD “C” crew with a final time of 19:27.09 and a 25thplace finish. The Blue Hen “D” boat led by coxswain Sarah Tenenbaum recorded a time of 19:54.51 and finished in 27th place.
The second and final race the Blue Hens participated in at the Head of the Occoquan Regatta was the Novice Eights event.
The Delaware “A” squad posted the best Blue Hen finish in the competition as the boat led by coxswain Alison Gibney finished in sixth place with a time of 19:20.10. The UD “B” crew led by coxswain Michelle Sheffres tallied a time of 21:03.37, which was good for a 14th place finish.
The Head of the Occoquan Regatta marked the end of the Delaware fall schedule. The Blue Hens will return for spring competition in March.
