Delaware Jumps Up To Sixth Place, Lafferty Seventh at ODU/Outer Banks Invitational

POWELLS POINT, N.C. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team fired a 288 score during Monday's round at the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Invitational, jumping up six spots into sixth place at the tournament.
Delaware, which carded a 294 score during Sunday's opening round, recorded the second lowest total of Monday's action and now resides in sixth place out of 18 squads with a 582 score. Campbell continues to lead the field with a 559 total, while Bowling Green and Old Dominion are tied for second at 565.
Blue Hen sophomore Blaine Lafferty fired a career-low three under par round of 68 on the par 71, 6,525-yard Kilmarlic Golf Course on Monday, and is tied for seventh place with a one under par score of 73-68-141.
Junior Marc Oliveri is tied for 17th place with a two over par 71-73-144, while sophomore Kieran Purcell is tied for 36th place with a five over par 73-74-147. Senior Kyle Martin has posted a nine over par 78-73-151 and finished the day tied for 55th place, while sophomore Jack Gianniny is tied for 63rd place with an 11 over par 77-76-153.
Craig Hornberger of Campbell leads the field with a six under par 64-72-136, while his teammate Gaston Bertinotti is one shot back.
The final round of the tournament will take place on Tuesday.
