APALACHIN, N.Y. -- Blue Hen sophomore Jack Gianniny fired a blistering 65 while the University of Delaware men's golf squad also leads the team standings on Sunday following the first day of the Binghamton Fall Invitational.
Gianniny, who tied for the second lowest round in school history, holds a four-shot lead after his seven under par 65 on the par 72, 7,104-yard Links at Hiawatha Landing course. Justin Martinson holds the UD single round record with a 64 in October, 2010, and he also fired the only other 65 in school history during September of that year.
Delaware carded a 284 team score during Sunday's action, and leads the 16-team field heading into Monday's final round. Rhode Island sits in second place five strokes behind the Blue Hens at 289, while Lafayette is third with a 292 score. Towson (297) and St. Bonaventure (298) round out the top five, the only teams under the 300 mark.

Senior Kyle Martin is tied for 46th place following his five over par 77, while sophomore Kieran Purcell is tied for 57th place with a six over par 78.
