Blue Hens Ranked in IWLCA Top 20 for First Time Since 2007

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Off to its best start since the 2000 season, the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team has earned the national recognition to be ranked in the IWLCA Top 20 for the first time since 2007.
The Blue Hens (4-1), who have been receiving votes for the past two weeks, came in at No. 20 with 25 points.
Kateri Linville Caitlin McCartney (Doylestown, Pa./Archbishop Wood) are first and second with 3.4 and 3.0 goals per game, respectively. Junior McKenzie Rafferty (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) is fourth in the league with 2.8 goals per contest.Lyons also leads the CAA with 4.8 points per game while McCartney is fourth with 3.6 per.
Alex ZaugraDelaware returns to the field Wednesday with a 3 p.m. draw at Monmouth. The game will be broadcast by ESPN3.
