Blue Hens Fall in 8-6 Regular Season Finale at #18 James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team was held scoreless in the final 18 minutes as #18 James Madison defeated the Blue Hens, 8-6, Sunday afternoon at University Park.
JMU (12-4, 4-1 Colonial Athletic Association) held a 6-3 advantage to begin the second half of play before the Hens put up three unanswered goals to tie things at 6-6 with 18:21 remaining. The Dukes defense held strong however as Delaware was unable to score for the rest of the contest.
The game marked the regular season finale for Delaware, which falls to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in Colonial Athletic Association action. The Blue Hens will host the upcoming CAA Tournament May 1-3 at Delaware Stadium.
Caitlin McCartney Alex ZaugraSenior Ali Curwin notched three goals, three groundballs, and a draw control for the Dukes while Schylar Healy tallied 10 saves.

We are disappointed with the outcome, but will use it to fuel our fire in postseason play.”
