UD LAX BATTLES
The Blue Hens are dedicating the 2016 season to our loved ones who are fighting or have fought cancer. This Sunday we will honor senior Erin Wein's mother, Pam Wein, and her victorious battle against the most aggressive and life-threatening skin cancer. Pam's story began in 1992 when she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. She battled through treatment until 2004 and we now celebrate as 11 years later, she remains cancer-free. As our honorary captain, Pam thanks the entire Blue Hens squad and reminds everyone to wear sunscreen.
LAST TIME OUT
The No. rv/rv Blue Hens led, 6-5, with five minutes left in regulation before No. 20/17 Towson responded with two unanswered goals last Saturday afternoon to defeat Delaware, 7-6, in overtime at Johnny Unitas® Stadium in the Colonial Athletic Association lid-lifter. Jamie Schwartz led the Hens (8-3, 0-1 CAA) with three points on two goals and an assist while Megan Santoleri logged the first multi-goal game of her career with two tallies. Devyn Heidelbaugh and Mary Abram each collected two draws for Delaware. Additionally, Erin Wein picked up three groundballs.
