In the Blue Hens' first game of the day, Marshall (4-2) got on the board in the top of the first on an RBI single by Taylor McCord, before Abigail Estrada swiped home during a double steal to give the Thundering Herb a two-run lead in the following frame. However Delaware (1-6) pulled even during the bottom half, as after Devon Steiner walked and Mattie Nuccio singled, both runners crossed the plate on a two-out infield single by Emily Neal.
