ORLANDO, Fla. -- The University of Delaware softball team fell to Stetson, 10-4, and George Washington, 5-4, Saturday during the second day of the Orange Blossom Invitational at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
In the Blue Hens' first game of the day, Delaware (1-8) scored two runs without the benefit of a hit as Leanna Gearhart and Mattie Nuccio each walked and ended up scoring on a pair of wild pitches.

Stetson tacked on another run in the top of fourth and two more in the fifth, while Anna Steinmetz doubled home Jess Bishop in the bottom of the fifth to make it a 9-3 game.
After the Hatters scored a run on an RBI groundout in the top of the seventh, Steinmetz doubled and scored on an infield single by Emily Neal in the Blue Hens' final at bat to close the scoring.
Steinmetz and Neal each finished with two hits for Delaware while Mariah Kondravy, Alyshia Dellatore and Julia Solderitch each added one.
Jordan Cargile fell to 1-3 after she allowed nine runs, just three earned, on eight hits in 6.2 innings of work.

However the Colonials answered with two runs in the bottom of the second and two more in the third to take a 5-1 lead.
Delaware scored its second run of the game in the top of the sixth as Neal led off the frame with a double and came round to score on a single by Nuccio.
