LAST TIME OUT
Delaware came out strong and led wire to wire in Thursday evening's 9-4 victory over Bryant at Bryn Athyn's General Field. The Blue Hens jumped out to an early lead in the first-ever matchup between the two programs thanks to back-to-back goals from Jamie Schwartz, which were followed by tallies from Kirsten Hale and Claire D'Antonio. Schwartz added another goal before the end of the half to register her fifth career hat trick as the Hens led, 7-2, at the break. The offense wasn't as fruitful in the second half as the two teams scored just two goals each. Schwartz finished the game with three goals while Hale posted two total to go along with three ground balls and a draw control. Chantae Simms led all players with three caused turnovers in addition to three ground balls while D'Antonio and Mary Abram each collected two draw controls. Goalie Taylor Carpentier posted seven saves for the win.
· The Colonials are in their third season under head coach Tracy Coyne (Ohio '83) during the 2017 campaign. The 2006 NCAA Division I National Coach of the Year has over 25 years of coaching experience and has compiled 276 career victories.
· Prior to returning to Delaware in 2010, Linville completed a five-year tenure as an assistant coach at Notre Dame under Coyne.
