POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team carded a 300 score on Sunday and sits in sixth place following the opening round of the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate.

Campbell leads the 18-team field with a 277 score, followed by UNCW at 287 and Drexel at 293.

Blue Hen freshman Matt Pulgini is tied for 17th place among the individuals after he fired a two over par 73 on the par 71, 6,550-yard Kilmarlic Golf Club course.

Jack Melville carded a three over par 74 to end the day tied for 23rd place, while Christian Chapman is tied for 38th place after his five over par 76. Roberto Nieves is tied for 44th place with a six over par 77, while RJ Wren is tied for 61st place with an eight over par 79.

Jesper Svensson of Campbell holds a commanding five-shot lead after he carded a six under per 65 on Sunday.

The second round of the three-day tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
