Chapman Fires 67, Blue Hens Tie For Sixth at ODU/Outer Banks Intercollegiate

POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team carded a 287 score during Tuesday's final round as the Blue Hens wrapped up their 2018 fall season by tying for sixth place at the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate.
Delaware recorded a three-round total of 857, tying Georgetown for sixth place out of 18 squads. Campbell easily captured the team title with an 818 score, while UNCW was second at 837.
Blue Hen sophomore Christian Chapman shot a four under par 67 on the par 71, 6,550-yard Kilmarlic Golf Club course on Tuesday, finishing in 11th place among the individuals with an even par 76-70-67-213. Chapman birdied 9, 11, 16 and 18 while not making a bogey during his final round of the tournament.
Jack Melville tied for 20th place with a six over par 74-70-75-219 while Roberto Nieves, who carded an even par 71 on Tuesday, tied for 35th place with an eight over par 77-73-71-221.
Matt Pulgini fired a 10 over par 73-75-75-223 to finish in a tie for 40th place, while RJ Wren shot a 21 over par 79-81-74-234 to tie for 77th place.
Jesper Svensson of Campbell carded a 16 under par 65-64-68-217 to earn medalist honors with a seven-shot victory.
