Blue Hens in 11th Place After First Day of USF Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. – Delaware sits in 11th place out of 15 teams following Monday's action at the USF Invitational.

The Blue Hens carded a 304 opening round, before the second round was suspended due to darkness. Delaware is currently 21 over par to finish the day in 11th place. No. 22 South Florida leads its own tournament at four under par, while Southern Illinois is second at even par.

Jack Melville is tied for 17th place at two over par on the par 72, 7,004-yard course at Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club. Melville fired a three over par 75 during his opening round, and is one under par through 16 holes during his second round.

Cole Alibozek is tied for 36th place at the tournament at five over par. After carding an opening round 78, Alibozek is also one under par with two holes to play in his second round.

Matt Pulgini and RJ Wren are each tied for 47th place with seven over par scores.

The conclusion of the second round will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, immediately followed by the third round.
