The Blue Hens' regular-season finale is now slated for noon at Bob Hannah
NEWARK, Del. -Â Prior to Friday's middle game of the Delaware baseball team's series with Charleston, it was announced that the series finale will begin at noon on Saturday at Bob Hannah Stadium as part of the program's senior day ceremonies.Â
The Blue Hens dropped a marathon in the series opener Thursday night as the Cougars pulled away to win 10-7 in 16 innings. Friday and Saturday's game just became that much more crucial in the CAA Tournament hunt with Delaware needing to win both to keep its postseason hopes alive.Â
Ahead of Saturday's first pitch, four seniors will be honored for their contributions to Blue Hen baseball over their tenures doning the Blue and Gold. This group includes Kevin Mohollen, Erik Bowren, Matt Rykaczewski and Cole Benjamin. Also being honored is redshirt junior Brandon Walter who is just the fourth player in program history to reach 100 strikeouts in a single season and sits in third in career strikeouts.Â
