• Delaware plays its second straight road game to open the 2011-22 season at Siena. The Blue Hens are looking to avoid starting 0-2 for the first time since 2014-15.
• UD kicked off its season with a 93-71 loss at Davidson on Tuesday night.
• Dylan Painter, a CAA Preseason first team selection, paced the Blue Hens with 17 points and six rebounds.
• Jameer Nelson, Jr. added 11 points while tying for the team lead with six rebounds and three assists in his UD debut.
• Kevin Anderson also reached double figures with 11 points. Anderson has scored 986 career points and needs 14 more to become the 37th player in UD history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
• Ryan Allen added nine points and has now scored 1,450 points in his career.
• Andrew Carr also scored nine points against Davidson. The five Blue Hen starters accounted for 57 of UD's 71 points on the night.
• Davidson shot 59.3 percent from the field and 60.9 percent from three-point range, both the highest percentages against UD since the 2018-19 season. UD allowed its highest point total since a 93-78 loss at the College of Charleston on Jan. 2, 2018.
• Delaware and Siena have split six all-time meetings, although just one has come since the 2003-04 season. That was a 90-56 Siena victory in Albany on Nov. 24, 2009.
