BOSTON, Mass. – The indoor season is upon us and the University of Delaware track & field team is set to open the 2022-23 campaign Saturday, Dec. 3. Under the new tutelage of head coach Kenyetta Iyevbele, the Blue Hens will travel North to Boston, Mass. and compete at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener hosted by Boston University as it serves as Delaware's lone indoor meet of the 2021 calendar year. The Blue & Gold will race in the 5000m event starting at approximately at 4:30 p.m.
The team is excited," said Iyevbele. "It'll be a lot of fun to utilize the fitness that was gained during the cross country season to see where we're at on the track. We've had great workouts leading up to this and the team morale has been high, so we can't wait to showcase that this weekend. We are ready to show everyone what we've got!"

- Coach Iyevbele will take Lindgren, Nina Sgambelluri, Katie Hally, Molly Lashley, Sarah Daniels and Autumn Sands to Boston and will lean on the momentum from the recent cross country season to power them to a strong showing in Beantown.
- Entering with the following seed times: Sands -16:49.06, Daniels - 17:04.73 and Hally - 18:17.72
