Nelson Jr. Tabbed CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – After a monster week for the Blue Hens, Jameer Nelson Jr. has been named the CAA Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
In a 2-0 week for Delaware with wins over Delaware State and Siena, Nelson Jr. posted an unmatched 28.5 points per outing, including tying his career mark of 30 against Siena.
The Haverford, Pa. native added 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 2.5 assists to his stat line, while shooting 53.1% (17-of-32) from the field and 81.5% (22-of-27) from the line.
This is the second-straight week a Blue Hen has picked up this honor after Jyáre Davis was Co-Player of the Week last week.
