Davis Named CAA Co-Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Jyáre Davis has been named CAA Co-Player of the Week for his performances against Cornell and Davidson, the league announced Monday.
The Newark, Delaware native averaged a team-best 19.5 points per game, adding 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks.
Davis played what could be the best game of his career in a thrilling win over Davidson on Saturday. He posted a career-best 25 points (12-of-19), seven rebounds, and five assists, adding career-highs of three blocks and three steals. He's the first player nationally in at least 13 years to post that stat line of points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, and zero turnovers.
In a close loss to the streaking Big Red, Davis tallied 14 points, four boards, three assists, and two steals, shooting 7-of-11 for a 63.6 percentage.
Davis and co. return to action on Wednesday with Delaware State inside the Bob Carpenter Center at 7 p.m.
