Women's Lacrosse Game Preview: Rutgers

» The Blue Hens return four of their five top players in points scored from a year ago. Danika Swech, Kendra Schweizer, Meghan Johnson, and Jenna McHale accounted for 93 percent of Delaware's scoring from 2021.

» No. 17/16 Rutgers went 7-9 last season and 5-7 in Big Ten play. Meghan Ball and Cassidy Spilis were named USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans.

» Saturday marks the 32nd meeting between Rutgers and Delaware. In the teams' last meeting, the Scarlet Knights defeated the Blue Hens, 13-11, Feb. 15, 2020. Delaware holds a 17-14 record against Rutgers and an 11-5 record at home.

» Delaware returns 24 letter winners and welcomes 10 newcomers to the program. Transfers Lizzie Yurchak and Sydni Rosa highlight the newcomers, along with eight freshman.

» The captains for the 2022 season are Meghan Johnson and Danika Swech.
