Rowing Faced Off Against Bucknell & Duquesne in Regular-Season Finale

SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa. – The University of Delaware rowing team took to the water Saturday, Apr. 30 and closed out the regular-season slate with a dual meet against Duquesne and the hosts Bucknell on Susquehanna River in Shamokin Dam, Pa.
Delaware was dominate against Duquesne winning six of the seven races headlined with the Varsity Eights boat registering a time of 5:55.81. Joining the Varisty Eights boat with wins in their pockets are the Varsity Four boat (6:38.23), Third Varsity Eight boat (6:11.08), Second Varsity Four A boat (6:59.18), Fourth Varsity Eights boat (6:17.91) and Second Varsity Four B boat (7:07.53). The Second Varsity Eight boat finished the race with a time of 6:14.11.
The Blue Hens faced Bucknell is four races, including capturing the win with a time of 6:12.29 in the Third Varsity Eight race. The Varsity Eight boat finished with a time 5:57.63 while Second Varsity Eight crossed the finish line in 6:05.13 and the Varsity Fours boat closed out the day with a time of 6:49.35.

The Blue Hens return to action to conclude the season at the CAA Rowing Championships on Sunday, May 15 on Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, N.J.
