Roberto Nieves Ties For Third at Redhawk Invitational

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Blue Hen senior Roberto Nieves fired an even par 71 during Tuesday's round to tie for third place at the Redhawk Invitational.

Nieves carded birdies on 3, 6, 9 and 12 while adding 11 pars on the par 71, 7,068-yard Chambers Bay course.

Max Charles of Boise State was the tournament medalist with a two under par 69, Nathan Cogswell of Seattle finished second with a 70, and Nieves was one of four players to shoot 71.

Sparky Ariyachatvakin tied for 46th place at the tournament with a five over par 76, while Michal Bargenda tied for 78th place with a seven over par 78.

Jack Halleron fired a nine over par 80 to tie for 99th place, while Owen Manchester recorded a 10 over par 81 to tie for 103rd place.

Delaware tied for 12th place out of 23 schools with a 305 team round.

The tournament's first two rounds on Monday were canceled due to unsafe weather conditions.
