Softball Preview: Lehigh

» The University of Delaware softball team will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for a single midweek game against Lehigh on Wednesday afternoon. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.

» The Blue Hens are 20-11 on the season overall after a three-game series sweep of CAA opponent Elon. The Blue Hens came away with a 6-5 walkoff win in game one before defeating the Phoenix 9-3 in the second game on Saturday and 7-2 on Sunday afternoon. Graceyn Frost recorded two wins in the doubleheader while Emily Winburn helped finish the sweep with nine strikeouts in her seventh complete game of the season Sunday. Kailey Christian reached base safely seven times with four hits and four RBI, including her second home run of the season in game one of the doubleheader.

» Hanna Garber is atop the Blue & Gold with a .381 batting average and 40 hits and 30 runs scored. Brooke Glanden has team highs of seven home runs and 24 RBI while Halle Kisamore has hit five home runs and driven in 21. On the pitching side, Frost has a league-high ten wins and she leads UD with a 2.54 ERA. Winburn has a 2.89 ERA to go along with eight wins and a team-best 85 strikeouts.

» Lehigh sits at 13-11 on the season after taking three games from Lafayette over the weekend and the Mountain Hawks have won eight-straight games. Carley Barjaktarovich leads six players batting above .300 with a .351 clip and 27 hits. Jaelynn Chesson has a team-high 24 RBI and nine home runs. In the circle, Gabriella Nori has a 3.58 ERA with six wins and 63 strikeouts.
