Delaware Men's Golfers Tie for Fourth Place at Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team recorded a 281 score during Tuesday's final round to tie for fourth place at the Golfweek Fall Challenge.

The Blue Hens, who fired 281 and 294 rounds on the first two days of the tournament, tied for fourth out of 13 squads with an 856 total. Jacksonville State captured the team title with an 836 score, while Wright State finished two shots back.

Sparky Ariyachatvakin carded an even par 72 on Tuesday on the par 72, 6,921-yard True Blue Course, as he tied for fifth place among individuals with an eight under 68-68-72=208.

Owen Manchester, who made five birdies against just one bogey for a four under par 68, tied for 31st place with an even par 70-78-68=216. Hugo Kedzlie also enjoyed an outstanding day with a 68 that featured five birdies, moving him into a tie for 38th place with a two over par 71-79-68=218.

Playing as an individual, Egor Zubov fired four birdies during his final round 70, tying him for 47th place with a four over par 75-75-70=220. Casper Nerpin tied for 50th place at the tournament with a five over par 72-76-73=221, while Xiong Da tied for 56th place with an eight over par 75-72-77=224.

Trey Crenshaw of Coastal Carolina was the tournament medalist as he finished at 18 under par to post a five-shot victory.

The Blue Hens are off for the rest of the month before competing in the Ironwood Collegiate Classic in Greenville, N.C. on Oct. 3-4.
