Delaware Finishes Third at Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

VERONA, N.Y. – The University of Delaware men's golf team posted its third sub-300 round of the tournament as the Blue Hens opened their 2022 fall season by finishing in third place at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate.
Delaware, which carded team rounds of 291 and 285 on Sunday, fired a 295 on Monday to place third out of 11 squads with an 871 total. Tournament host Missouri captured the team crown with an 847 score, followed by Stetson at 858 and the Blue Hens.
UD freshman Casper Nerpin fired a two over par 74 during his final round on the par 72, 6,882-yard Kaluhyat Course at Turning Stone Resort, tying for fifth place with a two under par 70-70-74=214 in his first collegiate tournament.
Sparky Ariyachatvakin recorded the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen with a one under par 71 that featured four birdies, and tied for seventh place with a one under 73-71-71=215. Hugo Kedzlie shot a four over par 74-72-74=220 during the invitational to finish in 19th place.
Xiong Da, who played as an individual, and Owen Manchester each tied for 22nd place at six over par. Da carded a 76-72-74=222, while Manchester recorded a 74-72-76=222.
Jack Halleron carded a 10 over par 74-75-77=226 to finish in 30th place while Michal Bargenda, playing as an individual, placed 58th with a 29 over par 82-81-82=245.
The Blue Hens return to the course next Sunday through Tuesday when they compete in the Golfweek Fall Challenge at Pawleys Island, S.C.
