Men’s Basketball Poised for Contests with Towson, UNCW

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware men's basketball (13-14, 5-9 CAA) has two games this week against two of the top four teams in the CAA, heading down to Towson (17-10, 9-5) on Thursday and hosting UNCW (20-7, 10-4) on Saturday for Senior Day.

SCOUTING DELAWARE:

Delaware snapped its three-game slide after a 71-60 win over CAA newcomer Stony Brook on Monday.
Jameer Nelson Jr. marches forward with his excellent season, averaging a team-leading 19.6 ppg after 23 against the Seawolves.
Jyáre Davis has been excellent in the month of February during his career, averaging 16.9 ppg and 7.4 rpg. Davis scored 12 against Stony Brook.
Over his last six games, Christian Ray has averaged 11.0 ppg and 8.8 rpg.
Ebby Asamoah let it fly from three against Stony Brook, scoring 12 on four three-pointers.
Cavan Reilly is second among freshmen nationally in three-point field goal percentage at 45.2.

SCOUTING TOWSON:

Towson enters on a two-game losing skid after losses to Drexel and William & Mary.
Nicolas Timberlake paces the Tigers in scoring, averaging 16.6 ppg, however, he scored just five points against the Tribe.
Cam Holden, who did not play against Delaware in the last meeting, is averaging 23 ppg and 10 rpg over his last three contests.
Charles Thompson averages 12.4 ppg and a team-leading 7.7 rpg.
Towson is 8-2 at SECU Arena.

SCOUTING UNCW:

UNCW takes on Drexel before heading to Newark.
UNCW won against Northeastern in its last contest, taking it 71-59.
The Seahawks outscore opponents by an average of 5.7 ppg.
Trazarien White scored 23 against the Huskies and is leading the team with 13.6 ppg and 5.4 rpg.
Maleeck Harden-Mayes has cooled off lately but is second on the team with 10.1 ppg.
