Ingelsby to be Appointed to President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition

WASHINGTON – Delaware Head Men's Basketball Coach Martin Ingelsby will be appointed to the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition, the White House announced Friday.
"It is a great honor to have been appointed to the President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition," Ingelsby said. "I look forward to serving in this role and giving back to the community."
The President's Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition is a federal advisory committee that aims to promote healthy, accessible eating and physical activity for all Americans, regardless of background or ability. President Biden issued Executive Order 14048, renewing the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition, which allows for continued promotion of the National Youth Sports Strategy and provides for the work of the Council to include a focus on expanding national awareness of the importance of mental health as it pertains to physical fitness and nutrition.
Ingelsby becomes the second Blue Hen to serve in some capacity on this council after alum Elena Delle Donne was appointed in 2022.
President Biden announced his intent to appoint the following individuals to serve as members of the Council:
