Men’s Basketball to Play in 2023 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship

NASSAU, Bahamas – Delaware men's basketball team will participate in the 2023 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship, Nov. 24-26 at the Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, Bahamas, the championship announced Thursday.
The complete field for the eight-team event, along with schedule and broadcast information will be announced at a later. As of now, the field includes Brown, Delaware, George Washington, Kansas City, Middle Tennessee, Ohio, and UIC.
HOTEL INFORMATION
A mere 55-minute flight from Florida, Baha Mar opened in 2017 and is home to three iconic brands: Grand Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood. "Baha Mar Hoops" is the largest regular-season event in the sport of college basketball. Last year, 20 men's and women's team competed in 24 games over 10 days during the Thanksgiving holiday and 2023 could be even bigger.
The Nassau Championship (Nov. 24-26) includes eight mid-major NCAA Division I men's programs. The Bahamas Championship (Nov. 17 and 19) annually features four highly competitive men's teams from "Power" conferences. The Pink Flamingo Championship (Nov. 20 and 22) is a non-bracketed event featuring some of the top women's programs in the nation.
