Men’s Basketball Heads to Towson, Hosts William & Mary

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team is set for a week of rematches as the Blue Hens head to Towson and look for revenge against the Tigers on Thursday, followed by an afternoon matchup at home with William & Mary on Saturday at 4 p.m.

ABOUT THE HENS
- Delaware enters Thursday's contest at 14-9 overall and is currently tied with Hofstra for fifth in the CAA with a 6-4 record.
- The Hens are winners of their last two, topping William & Mary 81-53 and Monmouth 84-80.
- Jyáre Davis continues to lead the Hens in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game, good for fifth in the league.
- Christian Ray leads the league in rebounds and is second in rebounds per game with 8.6. He is 16 rebounds away from 1,000 for his career.
- Gerald Drumgoole Jr. (12.9) and Cavan Reilly (10.0) join Davis as the three Blue Hens averaging double digit scoring totals.
- UD is currently fourth in the CAA in points per game with 75.9 ppg and fifth in points allowed at 70.6 for the fourth best scoring margin at +5.3.
- The Blue & Gold currently feature a league-best field goal percentage at .472.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
- Like the Hens, Towson enters Thursday's game with a 14-9 overall record and are currently tied with Charleston for fourth in the CAA at 7-3.
- Towson comes off a 1-1 week with an 83-76 win over Northeastern, followed by a 59-56 loss to Hofstra.
- The Tigers come into play with three players averaging double figure points per game with Christian May leading the way at 12.1, followed by Nendah Tarke at 10.8 and Dylan Williamson at 10.4.
- Charles Thompson leads Towson in boards per game with 7.7, good for fourth in the league.
- The Tigers are currently last in the CAA in scoring, averaging 67.8 ppg, but are second in defense allowing just 64.2 ppg, for a sixth best +3.6 scoring margin.
ABOUT THE TRIBE
- William & Mary comes into play on Saturday with an 8-15 record and 3-7 in CAA play.
- The Tribe will take on Monmouth on Thursday before heading to Newark to face the Blue Hens for the second time.
- William & Mary comes off two-straight losses, falling to Delaware 81-53 and Charleston 84-83.
- William & Mary features players averaging double figure ppg with Gabe Dorsey (13.6), Trey Moss (12.8), and Chase Lowe (12.8).
- The Tribe is currently eighth in the league in scoring with 72.0 ppg, but is 10th in points allowed at 73.2 for a -1.2 scoring margin.

- The Hens and Tigers met on Jan. 27 and it was the Tigers who came away with a 67-56 victory for their third straight win over UD.
- Delaware still holds the all-time record over Towson at 48-43, dating back to 1970.
- The Blue & Gold topped William & Mary 81-53 on Feb. 1 for UD's fourth win in a row against the Tribe.
- UD improved to 30-18 all-time against William & Mary.
- It was the second time in the past year Delaware defeated the Tribe by 27 points or more.
