PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team opened up conference play in Philadelphia, falling to the Drexel Dragons, 13-5, on Sat. March 16. Riley Gillin scored two goals, while Jaclyn Marszal, Lizzie Yurchak, and Keira Grant added a goal of their own. The Hens are now 7-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dragons put the Hens in a hole early, out-shooting them three times to one and outscoring the Hens 5-0 in the first quarter.
Both teams canceled each other out with two goals of their own in the second quarter and Drexel went into halftime up 7-2.
The Dragons slowed the pace down in the third quarter, keeping it a low scoring fifteen minutes while outscoring the Hens 2-1, giving the Dragons a six-goal advantage heading into the final quarter.
The Hens scored two goals early on during the final quarter, while the Dragons finished the final 15 minutes with four goals, beating the Hens 13-5.
