NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's basketball welcomes 2024 NEC Tournament MVP and former Wagner Seahawk Tahron Allen to the roster for 2024-25, head coach Martin Ingelsby announced Friday. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
"Tahron is a swiss-army knife type player who makes things happen on both ends of the floor," Ingelsby said. "He has intangibles that impact winning, and we feel his leadership ability and overall experience will be a great addition to our program."
Allen spent the 2023-24 season at Wagner where he led the Seahawks to the NCAA Tournament after claiming the NEC title. He appeared in 32 games for Wagner, making 24 starts. The Brooklyn, New York native averaged 18.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in the NEC Tournament, including 22 points in the championship game. Prior to transferring to Wagner, the 6-5 guard spent his first two seasons at Monmouth. With the Hawks, Allen appeared in 52 games. He averaged 5.5 points per game over those two years, highlighted by 8.0 in his sophomore campaign.
