Men’s Basketball to Play Southern Illinois and UNCG at Jacksonville Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of Delaware men's basketball team will compete against Southern Illinois and UNC Greensboro (UNCG) in the Jacksonville Classic on November 23 and 25, respectively, at Edward Waters University, the tournament announced Thursday. Ticket and travel information is available at jacksonvilleclassic.com.
The Blue Hens have only one previous match up with Southern Illinois. UD beat the Salukis 56-54 in 2019 as part of the Sunshine Slam Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida.
UNCG and Delaware have met eight times with the Spartans leading the series 5-3. Most recently the Hens fell to the Spartans 88-77 in 2023 at the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship. The last time UD beat UNCG was in the 2005-06 season when the Blue & Gold came away with an 89-77 victory.
