Blue Hens Quartet Recognized on IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team placed a program-record four student-athletes on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the organization early this week.
Rising seniors Elyse Andrews (Wilmington, Del./Archmere), Emily Pollard (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack), Lauren VanDaniker (Perry Hall, Md./Perry Hall) and Abby Wheble (Avondale, Pa./Avon Grove) were all recognized for their work in the classroom during the 2014-15 campaign.
Student-athletes who had a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater and have obtained at least junior standing academically received the accolades.
Since 1999, the Blue Hens have not had more than three student-athletes honored by the IWLCA academically.
The 2015 IWLCA/Zag Sports Division I, II, III and NAIA Academic Honor Roll lists a record 838 student-athletes from 255 different institutions. Eighty different Division I institutions had 256 student-athletes acknowledged.
Earlier this month, Delaware women's lacrosse was one of 85 Division I programs who earned Academic honors by posting a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2014-15 academic year.
