Delaware took the opener, 13-6, before the Mountaineers answered with a 5-1 victory in the nightcap.
Karolina Flores doubled home Brittney Mendoza in the opening frame of the first game, but Mount St. Mary's answered with three runs in the bottom half to take the lead. However Mendoza ripped a two-run double in the top of the second before Brooke Glanden belted a two-run homer to put the Blue Hens in front, 5-3.
The Mountaineers scored single runs in the second and third to pull even, but Flores drilled a two-run homer in the fourth to put Delaware ahead for good.
Mount St. Mary's pulled within 7-6 in the bottom of the fifth, before Mendoza homered and Chayanna Gallardo drove home a run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth to extend UD's lead to three. Lexi Moore and Mendoza then delivered run-scoring singles in the seventh while Glanden capped the scoring with her second homer of the game, a two-run shot to leftfield.
Delaware's four home runs tied the school record for homers in a game. The Blue Hens have now homered four times during seven games in program history, including once in each of the last three seasons.
Mendoza finished 4 for 5 with four RBI and four runs scored, while Glanden reached base safely in all five plate appearances by going 2 for 2 with three walks, four RBI and three runs scored. Flores went 2 for 3 with three RBI, while Julz Garber finished 3 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored.
Emily Winburn, who allowed one run on four hits and struck out seven during 4.1 innings of relief in the circle, picked up the win and improved to 12-2 on the year.
During the second game, Mount St. Mary's scored a run in the bottom of the first to take the early lead. Kaylee Stoner doubled home two runs in the second, while Bridgette Gilliano drove home a run with a sacrifice fly to put the Mountaineers up four runs.
Kirsten Mumma delivered an RBI double in the third, while Delaware scored its only run in the top of the fifth when Sarah Bessel walked and came around to score on a double to centerfield by Garber.
Garber had both Blue Hen hits during the game, while Sarah Piening struck out four batters in 3.2 innings of scoreless relief.
