No. 17 Blue Hens Fall at No. 16 Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 17 Delaware (4-2) men's lacrosse fell to No. 16 Michigan (7-0) on the road, 18-8, today at UM-Lacrosse Stadium.
Delaware scored three goals in the first five minutes of the game to jump out to a 3-0 lead thanks to goals by Mike Robinson and back-to-back goals from Tye Kurtz.
Michigan, the nation's leader in goals per game heading into today's match-up, caught its rhythm late in the first quarter before it scored four straight goals to take a 4-3 lead. The Wolverines added five consecutive goals to start the second quarter leading to a 10-5 halftime advantage.
The Wolverines outscored the Blue Hens 8-3 in the second half to come away with the victory and remain undefeated.
Six different players scored at least one goal this afternoon for the Blue Hens. Kurtz and Robinson led the way for Delaware in goals scored with two apiece. JP Ward and Clay Miller both registered one goal and one assist for two points each.
Paul Reidy had seven saves for the Blue Hens, while Matt Kilkeary collected five. Logan Premtaj went 16-29 in faceoffs and scooped up five ground balls. Owen Grant added four caused groundballs and caused one turnover. Jason Seiter also had four groundballs.
Michigan's Shane Carr stopped 20 shots to help the Wolverines come away with the Top 25 victory. Jake Bonomi led the way for Michigan with five goals, as nine different players scored for the home team.
The loss was just the second time in school history that the Blue Hens have fallen to Michigan, as Delaware leads the all-time series 3-2.
The Blue Hens return to Newark on Saturday, March 12 to host Marist at noon at Delaware Stadium.
