Baseball Wins Fifth Straight, Sweeps North Carolina A&T

"It's about growing, when you win, you get better and come together," head coach Greg Mamula said. "It was a great week, we built momentum and got better."
The Aggies hit a two-run shot off Nate Rolka in the first, but that would be the only lead of the day for the visitors as JJ Freeman hit a lead-off homer in the bottom half.
Delaware scored four more times in the second inning, including Joey Loynd and Josearmando Diaz RBI hits.
Rolka had a career effort, tossing a career-high five innings, striking out five and allowing just two hits.
Bryce Greenly and Jake Dunion traded RBI extra-base hits in the fourth, with Greenly hitting a double and Dunion a triple.
The signature blow in the game came in the sixth inning. With his former travel team (US Elite) in attendance, Tyler Leach deposited a payoff pitch over the left-field wall for a grand slam. Leach was 3-4 with four RBIs.
"It was fun having [US Elite] in attendance today and hearing them cheering for me," Leach said. "It was a close game, and I was looking for a fastball and just trying to keep things moving."
The Aggies added a pair of runs in the eighth inning, but Anthony Gubitosi came in and tossed a scoreless inning to close out the series sweep 11-4.
Freeman, Leach, Diaz and Kane each recorded multiple hits as Delaware earned its ninth straight home win, 11th in the last 13 games and is now 5-0 against North Carolina A&T all-time. The Aggies have yet to win a Sunday game this season. Delaware went 5-0 in its five contests this week.
Delaware will play at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday in the Liberty Bell Classic Championship.
