Men's Lacrosse Set to Face Fairfield on the Road

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's lacrosse team heads to Fairfield, Conn. on Saturday, April 6 as the Blue Hens square off against the Stags in another CAA contest. Game time is set for 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE HENS

Delaware enters play with a 5-3 overall record, and is undefeated in conference action, having won its first three CAA games.
The Blue Hens come off a 21-3 trouncing of Hampton back on Saturday, March 30, for their largest margin of victory this season.
Brendan Powers scored a career-high five goals as 11 different Blue Hens scored a goal in the win.
JP Ward enters play on Saturday just one goal and three assists away from becoming third Blue Hens player with 100 goals and 100 assists.
Ward also extended his points streak to 45 straight games tallying six points on one goal and five assists against the Pirates.
Mike Robinson will enter play second in the CAA in goals per game at 3.00.
Ward is third in the league in assists per game at 2.25.
Kevin Ellington's .580 save percentage leads the CAA and is good for seventh in the nation.
Ellington's 9.00 goals against average is also tops in the conference and is good for fifth in the country.
OJ Morris leads the CAA in faceoff percentage at .625 and is sixth in the country at the X.
As a team, the Blue Hens lead the league in goals per game (13.13), man-up goals per game (1.88), and man-up scoring percentage (.625).
Matt Acchione is fourth in the nation with five man-up goals scored on the year.
The Blue Hens' .625 man-up scoring percentage ranks third in the nation.
Delaware ranks first in the country in both scoring defense, allowing an average of 8.75 goals per game, and turnovers per game, committing an average of 12.88 per game.

ABOUT THE STAGS

Farfield enters Saturday's contest at 5-5 overall and 2-1 in CAA action.
The Stags come off an 18-13 win over Drexel on Saturday, March 30.
The Stags will pepper the cage as FU is third in the CAA in shots per game at 23.90.
FU features five players with 10 or more goals on the year as the offense is led by Bryce Ford's 24 goals and 12 assists for 36 points.
Will Consoli and Jake Gilbert each have 20 and 18 goals, respectively.
Freshman defender Julian Radossich leads the conference in caused turnovers with 22 on the year and is sixth in the country with 2.20 caused turnovers per game.
At the X, Dylan Smith features a face-off percentage of .486 (106-for-218).
In goal, Will Snyder has a 12.35 goals against average and a .429 save percentage in nine games.

The Blue Hens own the series history between the two programs as UD is 9-5 all-time against the Stags.
Delaware topped Fairfield 17-7 last season at home, extending its win streak over Fairfield to six games in a row.
