Baseball Completes First Two Games of Penn Series

The Blue Hens defeated Penn in game one of the three game series by a score of 12-7. The game started in Philadelphia on Friday and finished in Newark on Saturday.
In game two, Penn won by a score of 2-1.
With the results, the Blue Hens overall record is 6-8.
GAME ONE
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Rory Finn and Aaron Graeber had seven of the Blue Hens 14 hits on offense. Finn went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Graeber went 4-for-6.
- Aiden Stewart and LT Cockrill also had multiple hits. Both went 2-for-4, Stewart drove in three runs and Cockrill drove in two
- Doug Marose, Evan Lewis, Tim Hartman, Dom Velazquez and Dylan Bryan pitched. They went nine innings, allowed 10 hits, seven runs (four earned) and struck out 13 batters.
- The Blue Hens got off to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Evan Bouldin drove in a run off of a fielder's choice and Stewart brought in a run off a double to left field.
- The Quakers took a 3-2 lead after the first. UD quickly responded with Bouldin driving in a run off of a double in the third, and on a fielder's choice in the fifth. Cockrill drove in two runs off a single in the same inning, and Finn brought in a run in the sixth.
- Three more runs were driven in by UD in the eighth. Stewart drove in two runs off a single and Brett Walmsley drove in a run off of a double play.
- The ninth inning was moved to Newark due to darkness. In the ninth, Finn hit a two-run home run.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens return to Newark for game's three of the series against Penn on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bob Hannah Stadium.
