Men's Soccer Matchup Against Lehigh Ends in a Draw After a Mountain Hawk Comeback

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team fought hard but came up just short of a victory in a 2-2 draw against Lehigh on Tuesday evening.
The overall record for the Blue Hens is now 6-2-3
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Ethan Williams and Richard Monath each recorded a goal.
- Justin Ruth tallied an assist, making it his fourth on the year.
- Caelin Campbell made his first home appearance.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delaware struck first when Monath scored unassisted in the 31st minute of the game with a shot to the back of the net.
- The Hens carried the 1-0 lead until they scored again 13 minutes into the second half.
- Ruth sent the ball across the middle where Williams perfectly placed a header past the goalie for Lehigh, giving Delaware the 2-0 lead.
- Lehigh answered with a goal in the 63rd minute and tied the game with just under three minutes remaining.
GAME NOTES
- Williams recorded his first career goal.
